Bruce Lonie is President and a co-founder (1986) of PowerCET Corporation. Previously, he was vice president of ONEAC Corporation and product support manager for the telecommunications Division of ROLM Corporation. His experience with GTE included operations, customer support, and engineering management positions. A recognized expert in the evaluation of power and grounding problems for the data and telecommunications industries, Bruce has written two books and regularly publishes articles on power quality and the electromagnetic environment. He is co-publisher of PQToday and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for Power Quality Assurance Magazine. He is a graduate of the University of Redlands, a member of IEEE, and has over 26 years experience in computer and telecommunications service, and equipment protection. email Bruce

Tom Shaughnessy is Vice President and a co-founder (1986) of PowerCET Corporation. Past experiences include ONEAC Corporation (product and engineering manager), Topaz International (international applications/sales engineer) and Burroughs (field engineer/MPS). Tom has conducted in-depth power audits for many Fortune 500 companies, co-authored a book on power and grounding, and regularly publishes articles on power quality, harmonics and electromagnetic compatibility. He is a graduate of the University of Montana, a member of IEEE, AAMI and NFPA, and has over 14 years experience in equipment service and protection. email Tom

Michael F. Stringfellow, Ph.D., P.E. is Chief Scientist for PowerCET Corporation. Prior to joining PowerCET he held the positions of Chief Scientist and Director of Research for EFI Corporation. Other experiences include 9 years with the Electric Supply Commission (Eskom) in South Africa, and work with Kearney National and Atlantic Scientific Corporation. His research has focused on lightning surges and their impact on commercial and industrial facilities, and utility transmission and distribution systems. Dr. Stringfellow has published numerous articles and research papers during his distinguished career. He is a member of IEEE and is an active member on several committees. He earned a B.S. Honors Degree in Physics from the University of London and his Ph.D. in Atmospheric Electricity from University of Durham. email Michael

Jacqueline Bohn (Operations Manager) comes to PowerCET from Manufacturer's Electronic Sales Corp., where she was Inside Sales Manager. Her Responsibilities included OEM direct and inside sales account generation. Prior to this she managed sales and inside distribution at TMR Sales inc., where she also provided liaison between manufacturers, customers and distributors. Her other sales and marketing experience includes Wyle Laboratories and Diplomat Electronics. email Jacqueline

Marc A. Bélanger, P.Eng., is President and founding member of PowerCET Canada, a division of Better Technologies Corporation in Ottawa Canada. He serves as Chief Project Manager and Senior Technical Consultant. Marc has over twelve years of both public and private sector experience as a Computer Center Designer (Canada Employment and Immigration), Sales and Applications Engineer (Liebert), and Power Quality and Electromagnetics Consultant (BTC Canada - founder 1993). Marc has performed numerous comprehensive electrical power quality and electromagnetic interference surveys and audits. Over the past four years, he has developed considerable expertise in ELF EMI and has been actively involved in the research and development of ELF EMI surveying and mitigation. He participates in numerous technical courses, seminars, and conferences, and has published articles on power quality and the electromagnetic environment. Marc is a licensed professional engineer, and holds an engineering degree from the University of Ottawa. He is fluent in both English and French. email Marc

Michel Fortier, B.A.Sc., is a PowerCET Canada Associate specializing in electrical over-stress (EOS), electrostatic discharge (ESD), electronics product design, manufacturing, testing, and test system instrumentation. Michel has both an engineering and geology degree from the University of Ottawa. He is a regular participant in technical seminars and courses on power quality, informatics, and information technology. His expertise includes cross-platform system integration and networking. Over the past 15 years, Michel has acquired considerable experience in the development of sales and service groups within the highly competitive electronics marketplace and as such has developed a keen understanding of the complexity of the modern electromagnetic environment. His areas of concentration have typically been in ease of manufacturing, ergonomic interfaces, design of controls layout, performance testing, and troubleshooting. Michel serves as our instrumentation specialist and primary project manager. He joined BTC in 1994 and is fully bilingual (French and English). email Michel

Gordon Giles, Ph.D., Physics, is a PowerCET Canada Associate. His extensive knowledge and background in Radio Frequency (RF) and Microwave Frequency (MW) analysis and product design, provides our team with the capability to investigate high frequency power quality and noise phenomena. Gordon also serves as our software development specialist for test and data acquisition systems. Gordon holds a doctorate in physics from the University of British Columbia and is an active member of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association and is a member-at-large of the Board of Directors of Gandec Systems Inc. He has over 15 years of experience in the field of advanced instrumentation development. Gordon was on staff at CAL Corporation (Canadian Astronautics), and has also been employed as a Research Associate by the University of Carleton in support of their particle physics research activities. email Gordon

These additional resources are available to PowerCET for deployment as needed to investigate and resolve complex electrical and environmental issues and to address equipment design and performance problems.
