Dranetz-BMI traces its history back to 1962, with the founding of Dranetz Engineering Laboratories, which would become the recognized pioneer of the power quality monitoring industry. In 1996, Dranetz was merged with BMI which developed in response to the growing market for intelligent monitoring systems to capture and analyze power quality phenomena that would disrupt industrial processes and computer systems.
